thing to make you go hmm...

so... weird.

#5 just got back. He's apparently been out of the country. I'm betting he's been in Thailand. Bets?

Oh! and #1 didn't give me his actual number, despite being the one that was all "can I give you my number? You should call me!" Loser

Forecast: a Typhoon of Men

So today I had my property tour of TL. Like I really needed it, I've been working there for years. But my training had lapsed, so they made me. #7 was in the same class with me, and he makes me giggle. I'd gotten there early and had been sitting around chatting with the instructors, both of whom I knew, when the two other girls in the class walked in and sat down at the other table, this was my cue to sit down and stop looking at baby pictures. Anyway, so we clocked in and sat down. Then #7 walked in and sat down next to me, and we basically picked back up from the conversation we'd had a few days earlier. On a depressing note, there's been a death in his family and he'll probably be flying home for a few days. We got our training schedules, and as I already knew, #4 will be my day two trainer. #4 is supposed to be #7's day one trainer, and #5 is slated to be his day two trainer, if #7 doesn't leave immediately for home. I'm kinda concerned about #7, he was putting up a strong face, but I don't buy it.

Oh! I saw #5's current girlfriend today. She leaves for home (Thailand) on friday, and I'm confused. Didn't actually see #5 today, but I would have look AMAZING if I had.

So during the lunch break, I saw another of my old guys (from the Summer of '06). #10 was excited to see me, wanted to know when we were going out and when my days off were. This all happened right in front of #7.

I Less Than Three my life!

Welcome to the SUMMER OF AMAZING!

I know what you're thinking, uh oh, Meag has joined the blogging community, now no where is safe. HA! You've got that right. Now I've finally found my way to being one of the many people who has so much to say to so few so often. You know you're doomed. OR, you may simply be looking forward to the stories of the Summer of Amazing, filled with half naked men, drama, and who knows what else.

Anyway

I've been in Orlando for a week. Throughout the summer, you can expect an ongoing "Man Count," which is all the men who have flirted with me, hit on me, asked for my number, or any fun combination of those. So far, I'm at 9.

#1
On tuesday, after I took my father to the airport, I went to Pep Boys to get my oil changed and tires rotated. The guy at the service counter is very helpful and flirtatious, and gets the garage monkeys started on my car, so I went to sit in the waiting room and wait. Almost immediately, #1 came in and sat down, asking where I work, where I'm from, if I'm single, etc etc and so forth. He then asked if he could give me his phone number before I left, which I was happy to agree to. As his shift ended five minutes later, he came back and talked for another few minutes and gave me his number, and asked me to call him.

#2 & 3
Tuesday night I went out to JellyRolls (the Piano Bar at the Boardwalk Resort) with a group of my old friends. While there, I spent much of the night flirting harmlessly with #2, who is a perpetual flirt, and therefore a lot of fun to keep around. After one of the many "get up and dance" songs I was approached by a creepy drunk who wanted to dance to some slow depressing song, or request a song that I would dance to. I sent #3 away. At the end of the night, #2 walked me to my car.

#4 & 5
Thursday I went to Typhoon Lagoon with one of my roommates, knowing full well that a man from my past would be there working, so I was looking amazing. We hopped in the lazy river and almost immediately saw my future trainer, #4. He told me that I was looking great (I knew him 3 years ago, last time I worked at TL), and was very excited to find out that we were scheduled to spend a day together the next week. Once we found out where the guy from my past was, we made our way over, conveniently deep in conversation as we approached the bottom of his slide. As he handed us the tube he recognized me, did an incredulous double take before practically picking me up in a huge hug, and told me we'd catch up soon. Throughout the day, when we'd see #5, he'd be sure to get my attention and wave, when I put myself in his range of vision, he barely kept his eyes off me. Later in the afternoon, we saw #4 again, who was ignoring his water to talk to me, and flat out said he'd rather look at me than do his job.

#6 While waiting in line at the grocery store, the man standing behind me started hitting on me, but was creepy, so I was cordial until I could escape.

#7
Friday morning (first day of Ellis Class) I met #7, who is from Montana (by way of London, France, Germany, and DC) and with whom I'll be working at TL. We spent the breaks talking about his time living over seas, our different experiences working down here, roommates, etc. He impressed me with his discretion about his dislike for a mutual aquaintance, saying it wasn't his place to go spreading stories. While waiting for our written test on Sunday afternoon, he invited me to take a walk on the beach of Little Lake Bryan while we talked some more. Look for more on #7

#8
While visiting one of my girls at work at the Y&B, I spent a few minutes being picked on, in the usual manner of teasing and tickling, by #8, a Scottish CM in town for a few months.

#9
As I walked across my apartment complex in my bikini this afternoon (on my way back from the pool) I was stopped and participated in some recreational flirting with another resident (#9).

Tomorrow starts my on location training, and then the summer truely kicks into full gear. I miss all y'all in Utah, all my love!
