Back in Utah... meh

So, I've decided that although the summer is over, I'm going to continue my random updates to the universe. And why not? I've found that sending little tidbits of my life out into the great black nothing is kinda... (funny hand motion) cleansing.

So, about 3 weeks ago, I got back to Utah. So not excited about this. I'm back to living with my parents, going to school, and trying desperately to get a job. No luck on getting a job, which is just plain depressing, and getting kinda scary, I really really really need the money. I never thought I'd find myself hoping that Bath&BodyWorks would give me a job again. But I'm to that point. Curses on the economy.

One of my girlfriends and I threw an amazing party last weekend, and I spent most of the night handcuffed to a rather attractive guy whom I'd only met that night. Amazing. We shall call him... let's see, I never blogged #28-#49 (the firefighters at Jellyrolls helped to boost the number)... #50 happened like the night I got home (and was at this party too) #51 was on Trax, and is married (SERIOUSLY!?) so we'll go with #52. #52 super yummy, and NOT from UT, which is nice, and has a real job (AMAZING!). After #52 left, I decided to sit on the lap of the man of the leather pants, who ended up being #53. #53 is a little young, but super tall, and strong, and kinda looks like Sawyer from Lost. Seal of Approval. And he was wearing LEATHER PANTS. Seal of Approval. #53 is a friend of #50. Neither one wanted to leave first and leave me alone with the other, which was the epitemy of classic. It brought me much joy.

I've spent a lot of time online lately, and as a result, I've found some really amazing things which, if I had money, I'd totally buy, and therefore have absolutely NO money (then I'd be right back to where I am now!

To your left is the Little Black Dress Martini Glass from Lolita "Love my Martini". My sister bought me one with cherries handpainted on. They're handpainted, which is amazing. AND they have a drink recipe on the bottom. AMAZING!
But, perhaps the most amazing thing I've found online lately, is pinupgirlclothing.com. All kinds of great dresses, swim-suits, accessories, and other pretties. The Jessica Wiggle Dress, for example. I mean, just look at it! I want. Along with about half of the other dresses on their site. Check it out!

Amazingly Accident Prone

It's not my fault! I swear! No, Really! This time it really was not my fault. I got knocked over by a guest at work in the Wave Pool today, and now can barely put any weight at all on my leg. I had to go home early from work it was so bad. Now I have to go in tomorrow, and if it's still extremely painful, they'll send me to Health Services, then Health Services will put me on restrictions, and... yeah. Ouchies.

Bright Side! I get to sit at home and feel sorry for myself, watch Pirates of the Caribbean, and still get paid for the entire shift.

updating the amazing

OK, So I'm at 27... Let's see if I can remember all these men...

#19: I've worked with him a couple of times. #19 is a sexy Puerto Rican Lifeguard. We work together a lot, and it's become a regular flirting thing. Also, we're talking about hitting a park together when we both have off.

The other day, I was on a Deep Rotation (I originally typed Depp rotation, dOH!) and directly in front of me was my Girl Blondie, whom I love deeply, behind me was #19, which was fun, and behind him was #5, who spent the entire time that I was at Reef Dispatch and he was at Reef Exit staring at me rather than watching his water. I think #19 noticed, because once I was at Reef Float (the rotation had gone through, QED #19 was at Dispatch, and #5 was Reef Guard) he kept on calling for my attention and flirting with me. I got a group of 20 guests to splash him, which freakin' rocked. Also on that stand, #12 came by to say hi.

#20 was the Operations CM at DHS the other day. We talked a little, cause I was there alone, and he gave me a Fastpass to Toy Story Midway Mania, which otherwise has like an hour wait, so it rocked! I got my flirt on AND got a Fastpass out of the deal.

#21 and #22 were also at DHS. I used to work with them both, and they were all excited to see me (I stopped by to say hey to people I knew in the area) #21 begged me to come work with him, and told me how great I look, and that he didn't even recognize me (as he said that, his eyes were on my, uh, Eyes) and #22 stopped working to ask how I was, why I hadn't come by earlier, and told me that I looked REALLY good. Yeah, 1 and 2 were out.

#23 is a Photopass guy at work. He has promised me dinner and a movie for whenever I ask. We only ever see each other in the park, tho, so I haven't had a chance to actually give him my number.

#24 is the friend of a friend. Actually, the Friend of the FiB (Brown) of one of my Girls. (Brown being the one who wanted me to compete swing dancing with him. apparently vs #24) So the three of us went over to the Boardwalk to dance at the Atlantic Dance Hall, I was supposed to dance with both, and they'd see who was better between the two of them. Little did we realize that ADH is closed on Mondays. So we turned literally 180 degrees and instead walked into Jellyrolls, the Piano Bar on the Boardwalk (named after Jellyroll Morton, who, my sister felt inclined to inform me, was very syphilis (sp?) ridden. There! A random factoid for the day) and spent the night drinking instead. There was some general good natured flirting through the night, I made them buy me my drinks, especially after they both started drinking my KoolAide and then Brown spilled it. #24 was annoyed when Brown decided to come along to walk me to my car. After hanging out for a while talking at my car, Brown finally walked away, and I made out with #24 for a bit. After I was on my way home, I got a call asking if I wanted to continue hanging out somewhere. I turned them down in favor of some sleep.

#25 was a guy at Lollicup on my birthday. Flirting over Lollicup is the way to go!

Ahh, then there were #26 and #27. When we first got to Jellyrolls last night for my birthday, it was just me and Giggles. Two girls at the bar is perfect! We were quickly approached by a couple of guys and were hitting it off great, we just about had them wrapped around our fingers when one of my old friends showed up with a crew of people and scared them off. I was annoyed, but at least I got some flirting in.

OH! When I was at Jellyrolls with Brown and #24, #7 showed up with some of the girls from work and sat down next to me. Serious Testosterone Poisoning ensued in all three men, and by the end of the night, Brown was ready to throw #7 off the Boardwalk.

On a more serious note. After a lot of thinking today about my attempting(ed) friendship with #5, I've decided that for my own sanity, I can't do it. So I have cut off from him as much as I can. I can't cut completely because we do work together, and our jobs really center on good communication. It's gonna really suck, but I can't keep on trying to be his friend when I'm still head over heels in love with him. It just doesn't work. But I am going to talk to #12 about trying to keep us from being near each other in rotation or on break together. #12 will be understanding and keep it low profile.

My Love, Miss You All back in UT

Cry - By Faith Hill

I've been dealing with some stuff, relating to #5 and our history, and the fact that I still have intense feelings for him, and he doesn't. It's been really hard on me. Then I heard this song, which perfectly relates how I feel right now...

If I had just one tear running down your cheek
Maybe I could cope maybe I'd get some sleep
If I had just one moment at your expense

Maybe all my misery, would be well spent

Could you cry a little, lie just a little
Pretend that you're feeling a little more pain

I gave now I'm wanting something in return
So cry just a little for me

If your love could be caged honey I would hold the key
And conceal it underneath the pile of lies you handed me
And you'd hunt those lies they'd be all you'd ever find
And that'd be all you'd have to know, for me to be fine

And you'd cry a little, die just a little
And baby I would feel just a little less pain
I gave now I'm wanting something in return
So cry just a little for me

Give it up baby I hear you're doing fine
Nothing's gonna save me I see it in your eyes
Some kind of heartache come on, give it a try
I don't want pity I just want what is mine

Could you cry a little, lie just a little
Pretend that you're feeling a little more pain
I gave now I'm wanting something in return
So cry just a little for me

Cry
Just a little
For me

Could you cry

A little
For me

OK, so it's overdramatic, but that's kinda how I'm feeling at the moment. I just wish that this was a little hard for him. It's childish to say, but I want him to feel a little pain. I love him, but with everything that's happened, I want him to hurt, just a little. Let me see some pain.

umm... wow

So... yeah. The FiB of one of my really close girlfriends (who is also a coworker of ours AND a ballroom latin dancer) entered me into a Street Swing Competition as his partner. I've never danced with him at all before and he doesn't know how to swing dance. This competition is in a FEW DAYS. I'm kinda scared and excited and.... wow.

NERVOUS!!!

Second Try, and a Day in the Life

Operation: Take over [#5]'s Bathroom works much better when #5 actually leaves. I had as long as I wanted in a giant bathroom with NO awkwardness tonight. Can you say nice, long, relaxing, amazing, bubble bath? That's my kind of evening. and Whoops! I forgot my earrings and loofah. oh darn, guess I'll just have to go back over tomorrow.

So, I've been wanting to share what a day at work is like for me, using the example of a day from last week. Originally, there were going to be funny stick figure pictures to illustrate each point, but that is way too much effort for me right now. sorry. Just imagine that we're sitting in the Tea Grotto and I'm showing you funny pictures that I drew cause I have WAY too much time on my hands as I tell you all about this...

At about 6:30 I roll my sorry self out of bed and start my coffee maker. (coffee = yummmmmmm) While the coffee is going, start making breakfast (a delicious egg sandwich). Once the coffee and sandwich have opened my eyes, I start getting ready for work, swim suit, shorts, sandals, polo that's too big, hippack, sunglasses, whistle and nametag. No lunch because Chef Lee will be grilling up lunch today. I heart Chef Lee. around 7:15 I head off to work.

Once I get to work and am clocked in, head out to the guardshack while chatting with a few other guards. Check in and get a morning job, in this case, sweeping the sand out of the footbaths. It's already about 85 degrees, and only 8am. Once the footbaths are swept (which takes about 30 minutes of the given 45) pick trash off the beach until the bells are rung. While grabbing a guard tube, the "Big Kahuna" comes through, so we form a tunnel with our tubes for the Big Kahuna before morning breakout. Breakout is the same thing it always is, it's gonna be hot, don't tell guests that you found their lost articles, drink your water, blah blah blah. Grab rotations, and I'm on a Deep Rotation!! YAY!!!

I start the day at wave 3, so head on over. oh! and I'm bumping #14 all day. This'll be fun! Lifeguard the wave pool, no lifejackets past the red line, no masks allowed. The girl who is bumping me is an idiot, a guest made it all the way up her stairs and she did nothing about it. Idiot. Bump goes through, 40 minutes as an island guard, nothing interesting, then break. It's about 11:10, so get a burger fresh off Chef Lee's grill. yummmm. Then to Unload (the catch area of the Family Raft Ride). For once, the person I'm with can pull their own weight, AND he's cute. Head over to Wave 7, and we're on bobbing waves. I can see managers hanging out on the other side of the pool talking to a new trainee. There's a little boy who yells for help in my water, so I blow my whistle, hit my E-Stop, jump in, and swim over to him. As I get close he starts yelling that he doesn't need help, he's fine, don't touch him!, etc etc. Dumb kid. As I climb out, I get a round of applause from the guests in the wave pool, w00t. The rest of the Wave Rotation goes without a problem, #14 gives me a hard time. Hit break, finish off my chips and reload on Powerade before heading over early to the Reef. While at the Reef, I have to jump in again because the chick who is at Reef Float is playing Taxi rather than Lifeguard. #18, the responding Coordinator (who was nearby for my earlier jump as well) comes over and is all "Sweetie, it is just not your day. Everything OK?" At which point I was already 51 back to stand, and it was all good, just a minor save. Finish off the day with no other major things, guard Body Bottom (remarkably, only one assist over there, usually you have at least one save at Body Bottom on any given day) by the end of the 20 minute rotation, there were 12 lost articles in the catch pool awaiting the diver to come find them. Finish the day where I started, at Wave 3. Clear the pool at the closing announcement and then collect towels and trays from the beach until closing break out.

Since it's a Friday Night, anyone who wants to can stay to play Water Polo in the wave pool. That was fun! My team won. By the time I got home, it was about 10pm, so I hit the sack to start it all over the next day.

Speaking of hitting the sack, I work in the morning, so Good Night!
